My father, Andrew James Cervini is a retired firefighter from ladder 32 in the Bronx. I am very proud of him. I remember as a child my father coming home smelling like smoke with ash on his face. You guys are a rare breed, who has made your way to heaven. My dad still has his helmet tucked away in a safe place but brings it out often. I don't think you guys ever got enough credit for putting your life on the line. I'm writing you to see if you have heard of him ? He's getting older and I would like to see him go to a reunion. May God be with you and all the rest of the past, present, and deceased fire fighters My e-mail address is tamf@aol.com. Thank you and have a Merry Christmas. Sincerely, Anthony G. Cervini p.s. My dad retired in 1978 due to an injury.

I work for the Chicago F.D. and am ashamed that we have nothing on the net. Secondly, I have heard that there is a rugby team made up of New York firemen. If you could pass on any information about this team to me I would appreciate it. Also, if you could give me any info on upcoming entrance tests for FDNY. I would also be appreciative. Many Thanks, James J. Flynn: James J. Flynn

Subject: FDNY Date: Sun, 07 Apr 1996 19:07:12 PDT From: billgeis@ny.frontiercomm.net To: donfdny@haven.ios.com Hello Donald, I happened upon your page and enjoyed the photo, it brought back memories. I was appointed to FDNY in 1968 to Ladder 26-2, also worked in Ladder 22 and retired in 1988 from Ladder 17. Great times to be a firefighter. Do you know Jack Kleehaas, my best friend from childhood. He worked many years in Ladder 108 before going to Rescue 2. I was in the old firehouse on Siegel Street once and the new house once and met several of the men. Here are some names I remember but they don't remember me: Dick Bonadio, Whitefish, Eddie Richter who I think lives in Hawaii. , Tim Sullivan whose grandfather was on the job and who at one time was the oldest living retiree well into his nineties. Well, send me a note if you want to. I'm new at computers, just really starting. It's something to keep us "oldtimers" busy. Regards, Bill Geis: billgeis@ny.frontiercomm.net
