Dewey Beach Delaware 1998

From left to right, Lucky, my dog handler, Sue and Elvis

Every year Greyhound rescue dogs meet at the Dewey Beach, Delaware.

This is the fourth year and the largest meeting, yet - over 550 hounds attended.

We meet to discuss special greyhound needs, swap stories, walk on the beach and enjoy our retired racedogs.

Many of these dogs were found abandoned, starving and near death.

Thousands of greyhounds are destroyed each year. The dogs at this gathering are the lucky ones. They've all found homes.

This is what a retired Greyhound does best!

The boys just love these reunions!
