1) Heavy fire requires prompt transmission of additional alarms

2) I see fire escapes on the front and street side of fire building.Remember these fire escapes usually do not go to the roof. With a good smoke and fire condition showing the roofman may only be able to use rear fire escape if he must get off roof. Do not get yourself cut off.

3)Tower ladder is positioned to cover both the front and side of fire buiolding. Nicely done,

4) Civilians and chief are not wearing jackets. If this is during summer , make sure your men are relieved as needed.

5) Looks like stang nozzle operating on side of fire building. Don't forget this engine tool in our arsenal.

6) Good positioning of tiller truck. Turn table in center of fire building enables optimal coverage of aerial ladder.

7) Don't forget to use portable ladders

8) If this building is in fact vacant don't forget the traps

A) Linoleum over holes in floor

b) missing stairs

c) Rotted fire escapes

d) rotted out structural members etc etc etc

Note: The vacant building problem is not what it was 10 or 20 years ago. we don't spent alot of time in these type buildings, because there are not many left..More reason to be ever vigilant, particularly with young eager firefighters.
